ALAMO, Tenn. — Dyer County Volleyball remained perfect in district play Tuesday night, going on the road and defeating Crockett County 3-1. The Choctaws grabbed control early but had to battle through a competitive first three sets before pulling away in the fourth. Dyer County won the opening set 25-22 and followed with a 25-21 victory in the second to take a 2-0 lead. Crockett County responded in the third, extending the match with a 25-21 win. Dyer County answered decisively. The Choctaws closed out the night with a dominant 25-12 fourth-set victory to secure the match and keep their District 13AA record undefeated. Serving played a significant role for Dyer County, which recorded 13 aces in the four-set victory. Zoey Morris led the Choctaws with four aces, while Evie Rogers added three. Dyer County also received two aces each from Kate Benedetto, Ady B. Harrison and Katie Beth Caldwell. The junior varsity squad also picked up a victory, overcoming a slow start to defeat Crockett County 2-1. Crockett took the opening set 25-11 before DC responded with a convincing 25-12 victory in the second. The Choctaws completed the comeback by taking the deciding set 15-9. It was another successful district night for Dyer County, with both the varsity and JV squads leaving Alamo with victories and the varsity Lady Choctaws continuing their unbeaten run through District 13AA play. #TRIBE4LIFE
