JACKSON, Mo. — Dyer County Volleyball traveled to Jackson, Missouri, on Saturday to compete in the Jackson High School Volleyball Tournament, facing a field that gave the Lady Choctaws an opportunity to compete against teams from multiple states. Dyer County finished the day 2-2, earning victories over Northpoint and St. Clair, Missouri, while falling to Jackson, Missouri, and Red Bud, Illinois. The Lady Choctaws opened tournament play against host Jackson, dropping the match in two sets, 0-2. Dyer County responded with a hard-fought victory over Northpoint, bouncing back from the opening loss to earn a 2-1 win. The Lady Choctaws carried that momentum into their next match against St. Clair, Missouri, picking up their second consecutive victory with a 2-0 sweep. Dyer County closed out the tournament against Red Bud, Illinois, with Red Bud taking the match 2-0 to give the Lady Choctaws a 2-2 finish on the day. The trip provided Dyer County with another opportunity to step outside its regular schedule and face unfamiliar competition. The Lady Choctaws have already faced a challenging early-season slate while also putting together a strong start in District 13-AA play. Dyer County returns home having split four matches across three different opponents from Missouri and one from Illinois.
