Dyer County golf traveled to Woodland Hills on Tuesday for a multi-team match, with the Choctaw boys turning in the lowest team score of the day. The Dyer County boys captured first place with a team score of 150, edging Jackson Christian, which finished four strokes back at 154. South Side followed with a 178, while South Gibson finished at 189. Dyer County showed plenty of balance throughout its lineup. Beau Thurman and Jamison Rhodes each fired a 37 to lead the Choctaws, while Jarrett Harrison and Miller Williams both shot 38. Jadden Hanna added a 41. The four scoring rounds of 37, 37, 38 and 38 combined to give Dyer County its winning total of 150. South Side’s Wyatt Guthrey and Jackson Christian’s Carson Andreoni shared medalist honors after each carded a 35. On the girls’ side, South Gibson earned the team victory with an 83, followed by Jackson Christian at 92 and Dyer County at 108. Halle Flagg led Dyer County with a 51, while Molly Roberts and Avery Hickman each shot 57. The match continued a strong stretch of play for the Dyer County boys, who have consistently posted some of the lowest team scores in the area during the early portion of the season.
