Dyer County golf returned to The Farms Tuesday afternoon, hosting Crockett County and Union City in a three-team match. The Dyer County boys came away with the team victory, shooting a 159 to finish 10 strokes ahead of Crockett County. Crockett County finished second with a 169, while Union City followed with a 173. Jarrett Harrison and Jamison Rhodes led the way for the Choctaws, each carding a 39 to finish tied for third individually. On the girls’ side, Crockett County took the top spot with a team score of 98. Dyer County finished second with a 106, narrowly edging Union City, which finished at 108. Molly Roberts turned in Dyer County’s top individual performance, shooting a 48 to finish tied for second overall. The match came just one day after Dyer County competed in the Kickoff Classic at The Farms, where the boys captured first place in the 12-team field and the girls finished fourth among eight teams. The Choctaws followed that performance with another solid afternoon on their home course, highlighted by the boys picking up the team win. Dyer County will be back in action Thursday when the Choctaws travel to Union City.
