Dyer County girls soccer started the 2026 season in impressive fashion Tuesday night, picking up a 5-1 road victory over Peabody in Trenton. The Lady Choctaws found plenty of offense in their season debut, with four different players finding the back of the net. Alayna Leedy led the Dyer County attack with a pair of goals, while Ava Pearson, Peyton Murphy and Addisyn Trout each added a goal to help secure the season-opening victory. The balanced scoring effort allowed Dyer County to put five goals on the board in its first match of the year and begin the season with a win away from home. The Lady Choctaws will now turn their attention to their home opener. Dyer County will host Munford Thursday night at 6 p.m.
